Matchup:

Orlando and Florida meet up tonight for the final time in the 2013-14 regular season. The Solar Bears have been playing strong hockey of late, winning 11 of their last 13 games and collecting an 11-1-1 record over that span. The Solar Bears were in action last night, earning a point in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Kalamazoo Wings in a back-and-forth battle. Kalamazoo notched the first goal of the contest, but F Tyler Murovich tied the game before the end of the first period. The Wings regained the lead on a penalty shot goal less than five minutes into the first, but once again Orlando answered back, this time with a power play goal from F Mickey Lang. But before the second frame came to a close, Kalamazoo secured a shorthanded goal to take a 3-2 lead into the third. F Zach Harrison struck for the Solar Bears early in the final frame to force overtime. The Wings scored on a one-timer from the left circle for the final 4-3 score. The Everblades were last in action for a three game set against the Gwinnett Gladiators over the weekend, falling by 5-2 and 5-4 scores before taking a 5-3 victory on Sunday afternoon. In that contest Florida struck for the first three goals of the game, but the Gladiators came storming back to tie the game at 3-3 midway through the third. Less than a minute after the Gladiators pulled even, however, D Olivier Dame-Malka potted the game winner and Florida skated to the 5-3 final score.
