Reading's Anderson Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Brandon Anderson of the Reading Royals is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of Feb. 24-March 2. He also won the award for the week ending Jan. 12 .
Anderson went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 0.50 goals-against average and a save percentage of .985 in two appearances last week.
The 21-year-old turned aside 32 shots in a 4-1 win against Elmira on Friday and stopped all 33 shots he faced in a 4-0 victory against South Carolina on Saturday.
A native of Langley, British Columbia, Anderson has appeared in 27 games with the Royals this season going 17-8-1 with three shutouts while ranking seventh in the league with a 2.33 goals-against average and 14th with a .911 save percentage.
Under contract to the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League, Anderson is 25-14-2 with five shutouts, a 2.65 goals-against average and a save percentage of .898 in 43 career appearances with Reading.
Prior to turning pro, Anderson saw action in 138 games in the Western Hockey League with Brandon and Lethbridge.
