The Road Warriors collected six points in their three-game weekend sweep in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Toledo, Ohio to push them higher in the Eastern Conference standings.

On Friday, February 28th, the Road Warriors took on the Fort Wayne Komets at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Komets opened the scoring with a goal less than five minutes into the game, but Scott Arnold scored his 14th goal of the season late in the first period to tie the game 1-1. Josh Nicholls tallied his ninth goal of the season to put the Warriors up 2-1 halfway through the second period but Fort Wayne answered, knotting the game at 2-2 just prior to the end of the period. Andrew Rowe scored his 20th goal of the season just over two minutes into the third period to give the Road Warriors a 3-2 lead that they would not relinquish. Jason Missiaen backstopped the Warriors to the victory by making 41 saves.

On Saturday the Road Warriors traveled to Toledo to take on the Walleye at the Huntington Center. Josh Nicholls opened the scoring late in the first period to give the Road Warriors a 1-0 heading into intermission. The Walleye evened the game late in the second period and the teams headed into the third period tied 1-1. Early in the third period, Scott Arnold put the Road Warriors ahead 2-1 when he scored his 15th goal of the season. Four minutes later, Emerson Clark scored his fifth goal of the season to give the Road Warriors a two-goal lead and a 3-1 victory. Goalie Jason Missiaen made22 saves to earn the win.

On Sunday, the Road Warriors and the Walleye were back in action to finish off their two-game series. Newcomer Lindsay Sparks opened the scoring for the Road Warriors and sent Greenville into the first intermission with a 1-0 lead. Jordie Johnston and Andrew Rowe scored goals just under three minutes apart to give the Road Warriors a 3-0 lead. Toledo climbed back into the game netting two goals: 54 apart, but Josh Nicholls scored his 11th goal of the season to reclaim Greenville's two-goal advantage. Scott Arnold tallied his 16th goal of the season and third in three nights to finish off the scoring with 1:04 to play, ensuring that Greenville would capture all six points on the road trip. Jeff Malcolm earned the victory with a 30-save effort.

Week Ahead

The Road Warriors are back on home ice this weekend when they play the Orlando Solar Bears on Friday and Saturday.

The Road Warriors defeated Orlando 3-2 at the Amway Center when the teams last met on December 22nd. Brayden Irwin, Mike Marcou, and Andrew Rowe scored for the Road Warriors and goalie Connor Knapp made 28 saves.

On Friday, March 7th the first 1000 fans will receive a Road Warriors Adult Cap presented by Fox Carolina and Rock 101. The ABC Party Rentals Warriors Fan Fest will also highlight March 7th. The Fan Fest begins at 5:00 p.m. on the Plaza and will feature 2-for-1 beers, 3-for-$3 mini chicken cordon bleu, a free Kids' Zone and live entertainment from Rock 101. Saturday, March 8th is presented by BB&T. The first 1000 fans 12 and under will receive a Road Warriors Blue Youth Jersey courtesy of Fox Carolina and B93.7.

Streaks and Stats

Josh Nicholls is on a seven-game point streak registering ten points (4G, 6A) from February 17th to the present.

Emerson Clark is on a five-game point streak tallying four goals and two assists.

Scott Arnold is in the midst of a four game point streak where he has tallied five points (3G, 2A).

Lindsay Sparks is on a three-game point streak notching five points (1G, 4A) over those three games.

Andrew Rowe's 51 points (21G, 30A) rank him seventh in ECHL point scoring.

Transactions

On Friday, February 28th Kyle Jean was recalled to Hartford.

Lindsay Sparks signed a contract with Greenville on Friday, February 28th.

On Monday, February 24th, Michael St. Croix was recalled to Hartford.
