The Mooseheads are back on the road for one game to kick off the Heritage Day long weekend as they make their final visit to Sydney in the regular season.

Halifax has won two straight games heading into the contest after consecutive home-ice victories last weekend over Saint John and Charlottetown at Scotiabank Centre. The Herd are fresh off their second-highest goal output of the season when they obliterated the Islanders 7-0 on Saturday. The Mooseheads have re-entered the CHL Top 10 Rankings in the 10th position thanks to points in 12 of their last 13 games.

Moose Injuries: Jordan Dumais (out indefinitely - lower body) timeline to return is approximately two weeks. Braden MacPhee (day-to-day - upper body) Questionable to return this weekend.

Team Stats: Goals per Game - 2.94 (13th in QMJHL) | Goals Against per Game - 2.92 (4th in QMJHL) | PP - 18.1% (12th in QMJHL) | PK - 82.5% (2nd in QMJHL)

Leaders: Goals - Cam Squires (25) | Assists - Cole Burbidge (32) | Points - Cam Squires (48)

With the exception of a recent three game slide, the Eagles have been superb since returning from the Christmas break, sporting a 10-5-0-1 record over that span and have got within striking distance of the fourth place Rimouski Oceanic and fifth place Moncton Wildcats in the Eastern Conference.

If the Playoffs began today: Cape Breton would currently matchup against Rimouski in the first round and the Oceanic would have home ice advantage.

Nova Scotians: The Eagles have five players on the roster who hail from Nova Scotia, including forwards Cam MacDonald (Hammonds Plains), Jacob Newcombe (Sambro), Cole Burbidge (Windsor), Callum Aucoin (Hammonds Plains) and defenceman Brayden Schmitt (Truro).
