Roa and Wolforth Have Strong Debuts in Loss
August 31, 2022 - Southern League (SL)
Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
The Chattanooga Lookouts dropped the second game of their series against Pensacola by a score of 5-4.
In his Lookouts and Double-A debut, Christian Roa only allowed one run in five innings while striking out six batters. Backed by Roa's strong outing Lookouts and Blue Wahoos were tied heading into the bottom of the fifth. New Lookouts infielder Christian Wolforth smacked a HR to break the tie. Siani followed that up with a solo shot of his own to make it 3-1 Chattanooga.
Pensacola edged closed in the sixth when Griffin Conine launched a homer off the left field foul pole. Chattanooga remained in the lead until the top of the eighth when the Blue Wahoos strung together four hits to bring home three runs.
The home team brought it within one in the bottom of the eighth, but couldn't complete the comeback.
Tomorrow, the two teams face off on Thirsty Thursday at AT&T Field. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m.
