Peoria Rivermen News Release
PEORIA, IL - The Peoria Rivermen have completed a trade with the Huntsville Havoc following their sweep of the Havoc at Carver Arena this past weekend. The trade sends forward Kasey Kulczycki to the Havoc in exchange for forward Carter Roo.
Kulczycki, a native of Laval in Quebec, is in his fifth season of professional hockey. Kulczycki was a staple of last year's President's Cup Championship team netting three goals in the regular season and three goals in the playoff despite being acquired late in the season. Kulczycki has seen action in 13 games this year and has four points (two goals, two assists) to his credit.
Kulczycki was a scratch in both games against the Havoc last weekend.
Carter Roo comes to the Rivermen in his second season of professional hockey. The native of Champlin, Minnesota has two goals and four assists so far in his first full season of professional hockey in the SPHL. Last season he finished his colligate career at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point before being signed by the Havoc for five games. Still considered an SPHL rookie, Roo stands 5'8, 170 but moves the puck with great speed. Roo was dressed for both games against the Rivermen last weekend.
The Rivermen are currently getting set to host their annual education game on Thursday, December 15 against the Quad City Storm, face-off is set for 10:30 am.
