Rivermen Announce Promotions for Weekend Series with Knoxville

PEORIA, IL - The Peoria Rivermen are preparing to return to game action for the first time in 12 days when they play host to the defending SPHL champion Knoxville Ice Bears at Carver Arena this Friday and Saturday night, with each game set to begin 7:05.
The weekend's promotions begin Friday night with Superhero night at Carver Arena featuring scheduled appearances by Batman, Robin, Spiderman, and Wonder Woman throughout the game. Friday night is also Future Farmers of America night sponsored by Precision Planting, as well as Faith and Family night with the Rivermen. In honor of Faith and Family night, the Rivermen will be offering a "Family Four-Pack" ticket special, with four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for a total of $50. The Family Four-Pack is only available through the Rivermen office either in person or by calling (309)-676-1040.
Saturday's game will be Peoria's annual Star Wars theme night, with specialty jerseys devoted to the historic movie franchise to be auctioned off after the game, as well as appearances throughout the game by Star Wars characters. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a free Rivermen T-shirt courtesy of Homefield Energy.
The Rivermen have won both of their meetings with the Ice Bears this season, one in overtime November 14 in Peoria and one in Knoxville December 3. After this weekend the two teams will not meet again until a pair of games April 1 & 2 in Knoxville, TN. Peoria currently hold an 11-point lead on the rest of the SPHL, and an 16-point advantage on the defending league-champion Ice Bears.
