Rivermen Announce Preseason Schedule

Peoria, IL (July 25, 2006) - Peoria Rivermen President/CEO Bart Rogers announced today that the team will battle West Division rivals, the Chicago Wolves and the Iowa Stars, in 2006-07 American Hockey League (AHL) preseason action. Both series will be home-and-home sets.

Peoria will play host to the Chicago Wolves, a team it was 4-4-2 against during the 2005-06 regular season, on Saturday, September 23 at Carver Arena at 7:00 p.m. The following day, Sunday, September 24, the Rivermen will travel to the Chicago suburb of Vernon Hills to face off against the Wolves at Glacier Ice Arena at 3:00 p.m.

The Iowa Stars, a team the Rivermen were 5-4-1 against last year, visit Carver Arena on Tuesday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the front end of the home-and-home between the teams. On Friday, September 29, Peoria travels to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, to take on the Stars at 7:00 p.m.

Rivermen home-game, preseason tickets, which are $15.50 per seat in the Lower Bowl and $10.50 per seat in the Upper Bowl, will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased in-person at the Carver Arena box office, by phone by calling Ticketmaster at (309) 676-8700 or online by visiting Ticketmaster.com.

Rivermen season ticket plans are on sale now with 1) a Full Season package (40 games), 2) the 25th Anniversary package (25 games), 3) a 12-game package, 4) a seven-game package and 5) undated voucher books (denominations of 20 vouchers). Packages start at just $75 per seat.
