Aeros re-sign C Bryan Lundbohm

HOUSTON, Texas - The American Hockey League's Houston Aeros have re-signed center Bryan Lundbohm, the team announced Tuesday.
Lundbohm, 28 (8/24/77), tied for ninth on the Aeros by posting 30 points (9-21=30) - four off his career-high - in 78 games in 2005-06. Lundbohm also ranked third among Aeros playing the entire season at plus-10, behind only First-Team All-AHL'ers Kirby Law (plus-16) and Erik Westrum (plus-11). The 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Roseau, Minn., has played in 315 AHL games with Milwaukee, Grand Rapids and Houston spanning five seasons, totaling 123 points (42-81=123).
"Bryan is a versatile and dependable centerman who did everything we asked of him last season," Aeros general manager Tom Lynn said. "He was our best player in the playoffs last year, demonstrating he was ready for a larger leadership role with the team this season."
Lundbohm was a key cog in the Aeros' checking line, while also killing penalties and centering the top two lines on occasion. He had a point in each of the Aeros' playoff wins in the sweep over Peoria, and he ranked tied for third on the Aeros in playoff scoring with eight points (3-5=8). Lundbohm played collegiately at the University of North Dakota, where he was a WCHA First Team All-Star and Second Team All-American in 2001.
