Providence Bruins Set Pre-Season Schedule

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins, member of the American Hockey League, announced today their pre-season schedule for the 2006-07 season, the 15th in franchise history. The Black and Gold, led by Head Coach Scott Gordon, will play a three-game schedule beginning on Wednesday, September 27 at 7:05 p.m., when they take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Bradford R. Boss Arena on the University of Rhode Island campus.

The pre-season schedule will continue on Saturday, September 30 at 7:05 p.m. when the P-Bruins travel to the MassMutual Center (Springfield, MA) for a game against the Springfield Falcons.

The P-Bruins finish the pre-season on Sunday, October 1 at 1:00 p.m. against the Falcons at the Bridgewater (Massachusetts) Ice Arena.

"We are excited to continue our tradition of playing pre-season games at local rinks" said Team C.E.O. Jeff Fear. "As an organization, we are committed to being a part of the Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts communities and this is a great opportunity for fans to go to their local rinks and see the Providence Bruins compete and prepare for the regular season."

Tickets for the game at the Boss Arena will go on sale at U.R.I.'s Ryan Center (401-788-3200) and at all TicketMaster outlets (401-331-2211 or 508/617-931-2000) beginning August 25.
