SOUTHAVEN --- Memphis RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin McClelland announced today that the team has traded the rights to forward Ryan Watson to the Oklahoma City Blazers for future considerations.

Watson signed with the RiverKings prior to last season after playing the 2004-2005 campaign in the ECHL with the Victoria Salmon Kings. Watson played in all 64 games for the RiverKings last season, scoring 25 goals and collecting 34 assists. Watson played his first two pro seasons, 2002-2003 and 2003-2004, with Oklahoma City.

This is the second trade that the RiverKings and Blazers have executed this off-season. On July 6, the team traded defenseman Peter Robertson to OKC for future considerations.
