
RiverKings Acquire Goaltender Griggs

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that the team has acquired goaltender John Griggs from the Pensacola Ice Flyers for future considerations.
Griggs, 25, appeared in 15 games for the Ice Flyers and made one appearance in Rapid City (CHL). The 6-foot-1, 175-pound native of Barrington, Ill. is 5-7-1 with a 2.83 goals against average and an 89.7 save percentage.
The RiverKings return to the Landers Center on Tuesday night to take on the Huntsville Havoc at 7:05 p.m. for "$2 Tuesday." Fans can enjoy $2 off 16 oz. draft beers and $2 hot dogs, popcorn and 24 oz. fountain drinks. Tickets are available online at ticketmaster.com.
