
Levine Returns After a Pair of Call-Ups

Peoria Rivermen head coach Jean-Guy Trudel announced Monday that rookie goaltender Eric Levine has been returned on loan from the Syracuse Crunch (American Hockey League).
The 25-year-old was initially called up by the Quad City Mallards (Central Hockey League) last Wednesday before he was promoted to AHL Syracuse on Friday. He did not make an appearance for either team.
A native of Wheeling, Illinois, Levine has appeared in 21 games for the Rivermen this season and has posted a 10-7-4 record with a 2.72 goals against average and .912 saves rate. In addition, Levine returns to a four-game undefeated in regulation streak, in which he is 3-0-1 with a 1.46 goals against average and .951 save percentage.
He is currently the SPHL's No. 8-ranked goaltender.
Levine began his first pro season with the Toledo Walleye (ECHL), but did not make an appearance before he signed with the Rivermen on Nov. 7. Prior to turning pro, Levine spent the last four seasons at Robert Morris University - Pittsburgh (NCAA Div. I). Over 72 collegiate games, he combined for a 30-22-11 record along with a 2.90 GAA and a .925 saves rate. Last year, the 6'3, 180-pound goaltender appeared in 35 games during his senior campaign and produced 19 wins.
