Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release

Pittsburgh - The Pittsburgh Riverhounds travel to western Ohio to meet the Dayton Dutch Lions on Saturday night at Beavercreek Stadium. The Dutch Lions will open their 2013 USL PRO campaign, while the Riverhounds enter their third match of the season. The match is slated to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on USLnation.com.

The Riverhounds are coming off a tough 2-1 loss to the Harrisburg City Islanders last Saturday night at Highmark Stadium in the first leg of the Keystone Derby. The Riverhounds took the lead in the 68th minute when second half substitutes Jose Angulo and Matt Dallman linked up on their first touches of the game. Angulo headed home a perfect cross from Dallman just seconds after they stepped onto the field. The City Islanders Sainey Touray equalized ten minutes later on a through ball and Lucky Mkosana recorded the game-winning goal in the 90th minute with a left-footed full-volley that tucked just inside the left upright.

The Riverhounds and Dutch met three times in 2012, finishing the season on even terms as each Club earned a win, a loss, and a draw. With both sides looking to earn their first victory of the season, Saturday night's contest should be extremely intense and physical throughout the entire ninety minutes.

The Riverhounds return to Highmark Stadium for a mid-week matchup against the Phoenix FC Wolves on Thursday, May 9, 2013. In celebration of Mother's Day weekend, the game will be recognized as 'Ladies Night'. The Riverhounds will be wearing pink jerseys for the game and hosting a 'Soccer Mom of the 'Burgh' contest. Details for the contest will be announced next week. Tickets for the game are on sale now and can be purchased at riverhounds.com.
