RICHMOND, VA - (Saturday, April 20, 2013) - The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the Dominion Green Power© program. Through the partnership, the Richmond Kickers have been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a Green Power Partner for their efforts to reduce the risk of climate change through the use of green power.

Dominion Green Power is the official Green Energy Partner of the Richmond Kickers. Fans will see a prominent presence at all Richmond Kickers home matches through signage at the stadium.

"We are extremely excited to be partnering with Dominion Green Power for our 21st season here in Richmond," commented Hunter Leemon, Director of Sales for the Richmond Kickers. "We have always been conscience of the environment and the impact that we have on our surrounding community. Partnering with Dominion was the next logical step in demonstrating our commitment to minimize our carbon footprint and demonstrate social responsibility."

The Kickers are mitigating their impact on the environment by purchasing renewable energy certificates (RECs) through the Dominion program, and in the process are one of only two professional soccer teams in the country to be recognized as an EPA Green Power Partner. Additionally, the Kickers are promoting the partnership with Dominion Green Power throughout the season and are supporting Dominion's efforts to motivate club members to sign up to support renewable energy and reduce their impact as well.
