The Riverhounds FC fell 2-0 to the third place Harrisburg City Islanders at Skyline Sports Complex in Harrisburg, Saturday. This final match of the Riverhounds 2005 season gives them a 6-11-3 record (21 pts).
Chad Severs and Sumed Ibrahim scored goals for Harrisburg. The City Islanders finish the season with a 12-3-5 record (41 pts).
Harrisburg's first score came in the 12th minute when John Lapore and Ryan O'Neill worked down the right wing that sprung O'Neill in the right corner. Severs trapped the ball and fired a low shot past the Riverhounds' Terry McNelis (six saves).
The second Harrisburg goal came in the 36th minute when Severs and Sumed Ibrahim cracked through the open middle of the Riverhounds' defense. Sumed cracked a shot beyond McNelis's reach.
In the 65th minute Harrisburg had a goal called back due to a handball.
The City Islanders out-shot the Riverhounds 11-7. Derek MacKenzie was red-carded.
