
RiverHawks Sign Former L.A. Farmhand

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks today announced the signing of pitcher Dave Parker, a former closer in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.
The Dodgers took Parker out of Eastern Oklahoma Community College in the 43rd round of the 2002 draft. The righty was a combined 9-5 with nine saves and a 4.08 earned-run average in three seasons split between Vero Beach of the Rookie-class Gulf Coast League and Ogden of the advanced Rookie Pioneer League. Last year with the Raptors, Parker was 5-2 with two saves and a 4.94 ERA.
The RiverHawks are the defending champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 13th season. All games are broadcasted live on WRHL-FM, 102.3 - the Hub.
