
RiverHawks Add Three to Pitching Staff

LOVES PARK, Ill - Pitchers Drew Rucinski, Nick Sarianides and Rob Currie have been added to the roster for 2012.
Drew Rucinski, 23, returns to the RiverHawks after a 2011 season that took him to the mounds of three different clubs in the Cleveland Indians' farm system.
Rucinski started one game for the RiverHawks last year and was promptly signed by the Indians. He went a combined 4-0 with a 2.92 ERA for the AZL Indians, Mahoning Valley Scrappers and Lake County Captains.
Nick Sarianides, 22, comes to the RiverHawks after spending the past three seasons in the Cleveland Indians organization after being drafted by them in the 28th round in 2009 and was a Midwest League All-Star with Lake County. Over the past three seasons, Sarianides has amassed a 9-6 record and an ERA of 3.91 out of the bullpens of the AZL Indians, Kinston Indians and the Lake County Captains.
Rob Currie, 24, spent a couple seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers organization before joining the RiverHawks for 2012. Currie was drafted in the 12th round in 2009 and played for rookie-class Helena in 2009 and 2010. He appeared in 48 games out of the bullpen and recorded six wins, four losses and five saves. Currie returns to the mound in 2012 after not playing last season.
