RiverDogs–Legends Game Suspended in 4th Due to Rain

CHARLESTON, SC - Saturday night's South Atlantic League game between the Charleston RiverDogs and the Lexington Legends was suspended in the bottom of the fourth inning due to heavy rain in the Lowcountry.

The game, which was tied at 1-1, will resume at 2:05 p.m. Sunday and will go the full nine innings, while the third contest of this four-game series will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game two. Game three will be a seven-inning contest.

Both teams scored on solo home runs in the fourth, with the Legends' Eli Iorg slamming a liner down the left field line for his 12th long ball of the season. In the bottom of the inning, the RiverDogs' Marcos Vechionacci's connected for his fifth of the season on the first pitch from Legends starter Jake Hurry.

When play resumes Sunday, Charleston will have runners on second and third base with only out in the fourth.

Game three expects Charleston to send righty Erick Abreu (4-1, 2.36 ERA) to the mound, while Lexington is expected to counter with lefty Brian Bogusevic (0-3, 7.39).
