Hagerstown, MD: The Hagerstown Suns evened up a four game series with the Asheville Tourists on Saturday with a 7-1 win behind another shutout performance by Deolis Guerra who is 5-3 record and 1.93 ERA in his last 10 starts, and is now 5-6 overall with a 2.45 ERA. Brandon Nall went a total of 2 2/3 innings, yielding just one unearned run on four hits and a walk. Jim Wladyka pitched a scoreless ninth. Jonel Pacheco led the way offensively with an RBI triple and solo homer for the Suns (16-19), and Armand Gaerlan had a two-run double.
The Suns are now 4-2 in this eight game homestand after going 5-3 on their most recent roadtrip. Sunday's game three of four with Asheville (18-17) will be at 6:05pm and will feature a Fireworks Extravaganza sponsored by Lite 97.5 FM after the game. Kid's get to run the bases afterwards and a family of four gets half price tickets and food with a coupon in Sunday's Herald-Mail. LHP Jon Niese goes for the Suns against LHP Brandon Durden.
