
RiverDogs Nearing Record-Setting Finish in the Stands

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston RiverDogs are closing in on a franchise-best attendance record and are on pace to eclipse the 290,000-fan mark for the first time in franchise history.
Five scheduled openings remain for the RiverDogs this season and as of Friday, August 28th 273,661 fans had entered through the gates of The Joe in 63 openings. The maximum number of openings this season is 68 due to a couple of rainouts.
The RiverDogs are 11,057 fans off of the best-attended season in franchise history - 2007, during which 284,718 fans entered the gates in 69 openings.
Come on out to be a part HISTORY as the RiverDogs look to break the franchise's all-time record for single-season attendance on the final home game of the season! Charleston saves the best for last, as Wednesday will be jam-packed full of FUN for the best fans in the South Atlantic League. The final home game is Fan Appreciation Night, which includes $1 BEERS in the Ashley View Pub, free parking, and a HUGE postgame fireworks show over the scenic Ashley River.
The RiverDogs welcome in the Asheville Tourists to The Joe for the final home series of 2015 from Saturday, August 29 to Wednesday, September 2nd. Charleston has dropped 11 of the first 19 contests against Asheville; the Colorado Rockies affiliate in the South Atlantic League.
