
River Rats Host Ladies Night and 15th Anniversary Celebration

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats announced today their plans for an exciting two-game weekend home stand with Friday scheduled to be Ladies Night and the 15th Anniversary Scratch-N-Win event on Saturday at the Times Union Center.
The club's annual Ladies Night is on Friday, February 15th as the River Rats take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:00 pm. The first 1,000 ladies through the gates will receive a free $20 gift card from Serenity Day Spa, the Buff Body Trainers of Best Fitness will be in attendance and one lucky lady will win free tanning for a year courtesy of Total Tan. There will be prizes, makeovers and giveaways from Mary Kay Cosmetics and the River Rats will be selling pink pucks to benefit the Mary Kay Ash Foundation. Other prizes and giveaways include Chair Massages from the Ivy Spa, haircuts from Rumors, flower bouquets from Price Chopper and Ski Passes to Wyndham Mountain.
Then on Saturday, February 16th the River Rats will hold their special 15th Anniversary celebration, commemorating their tenure in the AHL and the Capital District. The first 3,000 fans in the doors will receive a 15th Anniversary Scratch-N-Win game card, where every card is a winner. A few lucky fans will scratch their cards and discover the chance to go on the ice and shoot to win $15,000! Other Scratch-N-Win prizes include a 2008-09 River Rats season ticket, 15 years worth of autographed merchandise (jerseys, card sets, game-worn gear, etc.), a Buy One Get One Free ticket offer and a River Rats Merchandise Discount.
To celebrate the River Rats 15th season in Albany, the Times Union Center will be adorned on Saturday night with relics from the past 15 seasons, starting with original artwork submissions for the River Rats logo, team and player photos, sticks, helmets and more!
Albany continues their home stand on Friday night, February 15th as they battle the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:00 pm at the Times Union Center. Saturday, February 16th the Philadelphia Phantoms are in town also at 7:00 pm.
