Devils Recall Caruso From Trenton

LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Devils announced that goaltender Dave Caruso has been recalled on loan from the Trenton Devils of the ECHL.

The 25-year old netminder has compiled a 13-16-4 record in 34 games for Trenton this season with a 2.59 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. Caruso ranks second in the ECHL with 1972 minutes played, while he is 14th in the league in goals against average.

This marks Caruso's fourth visit to Lowell this season. He appeared in one game for the Devils this year, making 30 saves in a loss to the Albany River Rats on November 3. A native of Queens, NY, Caruso was signed as a free agent by Lowell on August 2 after skating the 2006-07 season with the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL. There, he went 23-11-4 with a 3.13 GAA and a .904.

Lowell completes its three-game road stretch on Friday, February 15 at 7:05 p.m. against the Manchester Monarchs.
