St. Charles, MO --- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League have signed Lonnie Loach, the team's all-time leading scorer, to a professional tryout contract. Loach has scored 310 points in 238 games with the River Otters.

"Lonnie is one of the top players in River Otters history, and we welcome the opportunity to give him a chance to play again," said Frank Buonomo, River Otters General Manager. "He has been skating with our team for the past few weeks, and we're looking forward to seeing him on the ice."

Loach, 37, is entering his 16th professional season. He was selected in the 5th round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. The Ontario-native's most prolific NHL season came in 1992-93 with the Los Angeles Kings when he scored 10 goals and added 13 assists in 50 games. Over the span of his 993-game professional career Loach is averaging more than one point-per-game with 435 goals and 632 assists for 1,067 points.

Loach is the all-time leading scorer in River Otters history with 120 goals and 190 assists for 310 points in 238 games. The next highest scorer on the River Otters List is Dustin Whitecotton with 184 points, more than 100 points less than Loach. The 5'10'', 190-pound forward has scored six hat-tricks in a River Otters uniform and is one of five River Otters to record five points in one game. His most productive professional season came in 1990-91 when he scored 131 points in 81 games with the Fort Wayne Komets of the now-defunct IHL. Kaminski also played on that Komets team with Loach.
