River Otters Sign Local Stand-Out T.J. Toal

The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League are proud to announce that they have signed forward T.J. Toal for the remainder of the 2004-05 season. Toal, 24, was born in Ballwin, MO and recently played for Lindenwood University's highly-ranked hockey team.

"It's a great opportunity for T.J. to prove he can play at this level," River Otters Head Coach Kevin Kaminski said. "He's got tremendous speed and a great shot, and we're hoping he can help us finish strong."

Toal scored two goals and added five assists in 17 games this season with Lindenwood. In 2003-04 the 5'11'', 205-pound forward scored 13 goals and dished out eight assists in 23 games. He's expected to make his River Otters debut Friday.

The River Otters next game is Friday, March 25 against the Quad City Mallards at the MARK. The puck drops at 7:00 PM CST, and all the action can be heard on KSLQ 104.5 and the B2 Webcast and Video Simulcast, located at www.riverotters.com.
