Arkansas RimRockers News Release

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Jan. 19 - Despite eight players scoring in double figures, the Arkansas RimRockers dropped their 13th consecutive game, setting a new NBA Development League record for consecutive losses, to the Sioux Falls Skyforce 127-105 at Alltel Arena. The previous record of 12 came earlier in the season when the Austin Toros lost their first 12.

Arkansas' worst loss of the season dropped them to 6-15, while Sioux Falls continued their winning streak as they improved to 14-9.

"What we need more than anything else is a win," said RimRockers Head Coach Andy Stoglin. "Winning is contagious, but so is losing. The guys have to learn how to win again."

Going into the half, the game was close as Sioux Falls led 60-57, but after the break the Skyforce pulled away. In the third period they outscored the RimRockers by 12 points. Jared Reiner had 11 of his 19 points in the third while also collecting 10 boards to record the only double-double of the game.

The RimRockers were unable to make a game of it in the final period as the Skyforce stormed out to a 13-4 run putting them up by 24. The lead grew to as many as 27 and never saw single digits after the 3:34 mark in the third.

NBA Assigned player Amir Johnson of the Detroit Pistons led all scorers with 22 and was strong defensively with 3 steals and 5 blocks.

Big men Matt Haryasz and Marcus Campbell led the way for the RimRockers with 15 apiece. Guard Brandon Dean also contributed with 10 points and eight assists. Brian Jackson returned to the lineup after missing five games with a deep thigh contusion netting 13 and seven boards.

Earlier in the day the RimRockers tried to fix some holes by acquiring forward Roger Powell Jr., but his 14 points and seven rebounds were not enough as the RimRockers still were defeated.

The 22-point loss is the worst of the year for the RimRockers as they were outscored in each quarter.

"A win will solve a lot of our problems." Stoglin said. "I have to pull it back together and get them to finally win."

The RimRockers will look to break the streak as they host the Skyforce again in a rematch on Saturday night at Alltel Arena at 7:00 p.m.
