Sioux Falls at Arkansas: Skyforce leads 3-0, but this is first trip to Alltel Arena.
Fort Worth at Dakota: First meeting and first of two games this weekend between top two teams in Eastern Division.
Tulsa at Austin: 66ers lead 1-0 this season. Toros lead 5-4 all-time.
Anaheim at Colorado: 14ers lead 1-0 after sneaking by Arsenal 112-110 on Dec. 27.
Los Angeles at Albuquerque: First meeting. D-Fenders 10-10 overall, but 7-3 away from STAPLES Center.
Idaho at Bakersfield: Stampede leads 2-0 and is league's hottest team. Idaho also league's best road team at 8-3.

14ers AT HOME: The Colorado 14ers have defended the home court of the league's newest arena, the Broomfield Event Center, very well this season. Coach Joe Wolf's club is 7-1 at home, winning by an average scorer of 112-104.

FIGHTING HUNGER: The Idaho Stampede is joining with KCBI-TV in Boise to help stamp out hunger in Idaho. As a partner in the CBS 2 Food Drive, the Stampede are asking fans to donate nonperishable food items and cash at games against the Fort Worth Flyers on Jan. 24 and 25. All money and goods collected will go to the Idaho Foodbank to help feed thousands of Idahoans who are hungry.

TRADE WINDS: The Albuquerque Thunderbirds and Anaheim Arsenal completed the first trade of the season on Thursday, with the Thunderbirds sending forward Jamaal Thomas to the Arsenal for center Greg Clausen.

THEY SAID IT: "I think the hands-on experience with the NBA, they offer you mentoring, everybody is keeping an eye on you, and they give you a great chance to showcase your talent both with all of the scouts that come to the games and the fact that a lot of games are on NBA TV, so everyone can check out your skills." ...Dakota guard Renaldo Major told D-LEAGUE.com on what makes the D-League experience valuable to a player...just prior to learning of his call up to the Golden State Warriors.
