
Riders Welcome Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation to Dr Pepper Ballpark

FRISCO, TEXAS (JUNE 11, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders will host the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation tonight at Dr Pepper Ballpark, honoring widows and family members of DFW-area police officers who passed in the line of duty.
A special pre game ceremony will prelude tonight's 7:05 p.m. first pitch:
6:52 p.m.
- Dallas Police Honor Guard
6:53 p.m.
- National Anthem performed by Officer William Lain with Grapevine Police Department
6:54 p.m.
- Fallen Officer Roll Call
6:58 p.m.
- Special "Taps" performance by Senior Corporal Mark Lain
- Traditional American Flag folding ceremony
- Moment of silence followed by customary helicopter flyover
7:00 p.m.
- Fallen Officers first pitch thrown by Joann Jackson, widow of Dallas Police Officer Brian Jackson, a five-year police force veteran who was killed in the line of duty at age 28.
All honorees with the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation will have an opportunity to meet with players and coaches before the contest.
A portion of Thursday's ticket sales will benefit the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation. Over $1,400 has already been raised to support the foundation's cause.
