Frisco RoughRiders News Release
FRISCO, TEXAS (June 11, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders are excited to host another MVP Student Program Night at Dr Pepper Ballpark during tonight's game against the San Antonio Missions at 7:05 p.m. The RoughRiders MVP Student Program, presented by First Choice Emergency Room, is designed to be an instrument for teachers to reward, motivate and honor their students. 2,350 MVP fifth grade students, families and teachers are invited to take in tonight's ballgame.
The RoughRiders MVP Student Program, presented by First Choice Emergency Room, targets fifth graders in more than 20 school districts across North Texas and rewards MVP students and their families with free tickets to a RoughRiders game. The recipients also have a unique opportunity to meet players and take home exclusive souvenirs.
The annual event takes place over three home dates during the season. On May 28, more than 840 local kids, families and teachers watched the RoughRiders defeat the Springfield Cardinals 2-1. Nearly 400 local teachers were given the opportunity to reward up to five students each for the MVP Program. Monday, June 22 concludes the series of MVP Student Program Nights.
The MVP Students will have an area behind the centerfield batter's eye set up with games, food and other kid's activities. The Riders host the San Antonio Missions tonight at 7:05 p.m.
