SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS-Barret Loux (11-0) became the first pitcher in all of minor league baseball to reach 11 wins, as Frisco shutout San Antonio 4-0 Thursday night at Wolff Municipal Stadium. The win was Loux's 11th in 12 starts, while it was the RoughRiders eighth shutout win of the year.

Following a scoreless first inning, the RoughRiders batted around in the second. After Missions starter Keyvus Sampson (2-6) loaded the bases, Val Majewski walked, to force home a run. Jared Prince and Jose Felix followed with RBI singles to make it 3-0 RoughRiders, while Majewski came in on a fielder's choice to round out the four run frame.

Frisco had opportunities to score in the fifth and sixth innings, but came up empty both times. In the fifth, Leury Garcia and Jurickson Profar singled to put runners at the corners with nobody out. However, Sampson negotiated his way out of trouble, picking off Profar, striking out Mike Olt, and getting Chris McGuiness to bounce back to the mound.

It was the same story in the sixth, as Ryan Strausborger and Val Majewski reached base to lead off the inning, but a pair of groundballs and a strikeout helped Sampson escape unscathed.

Despite failing to score, the combination of Barret Loux, Ryan Rodebaugh, Tyler Tufts, and Joseph Ortiz held the Missions offense at bay for the entire game. The quartet scattered only five hits on the night.

'Riders starter Barret Loux picked up his 11th win in 12 starts. The former Aggie went five scoreless frames, allowed a pair of hits and walked four. Missions starter Keyvius Sampson suffered his fourth straight loss, going six innings, and surrendering four runs (all in the second inning).

Frisco plays the third of four games against San Antonio Friday night at Wolff Stadium. Jake Brigham (2-2, 3.86) gets the start for the 'Riders, he will be opposed by Missions left-hander Andrew Werner (1-6, 3.99). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05, and can be heard on KKGM 1630 AM or on ridersbaseball.com. Pre-game coverage starts at 6:30.

The RoughRiders return home on June 10 to begin an eight game homestand against the Midland RockHounds and the Corpus Christi Hooks. To purchase tickets, fans can visit the box office, or buy online at ridersbaseball.com.
