Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release
The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that offensive lineman Jeremy O'Day and fullback Chris Szarka have re-signed with the club. Financial terms were not released.
O'Day has re-signed for another two-years plus an option. The 30-year old is entering his ninth CFL season and seventh year with the Green and White. Last year, he started in all 18 regular season games and both playoff games and anchored an offensive line that led the league in rushing for the third straight season.
Szarka has also re-signed for two-years plus an option. The 30-year old started 13 games at fullback last season and finished the year with 30 carries for 115 yards and three touchdowns. In his nine seasons with the Green and White, Szarka has rushed 328 times for 1,298 yards and 22 touchdowns.
"Jeremy and Chris have been a huge part of our offence for a number of years," stated Riders' head coach Danny Barrett. "We are very excited that players with their skill and veteran leadership will continue to lead this club."
Danny Barrett and Chris Szarka will be available to the media at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (Thursday) at Taylor Field.
