
Riders Acquire Kornegay from Hamilton

Saskatchewan Roughrider General Manager/VP of Football Operations Eric Tillman announced today the Riders have acquired import defensive back Tad Kornegay from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In return the Riders sent non-import receiver Jason French and import receiver Thyron Anderson to the Tiger-Cats.
Kornegay (6'0 - 185 lbs.) has spent the past two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The 24-year old had 30 defensive tackles, 18 special teams tackles, an interception and a quarterback sack in 14 regular season games last season. In his rookie season, the Fordham product had 24 defensive tackles and nine special teams tackles while playing in all 18 regular season games.
Jason French spent six seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (2001-07). He dressed in 103 regular season games and eight playoff games with the Green & White.
