BIG MAC ATTACK: Michael McCarron had another big night on Saturday, picking up five points (2G-3A) - a new IceCaps franchise record. McCarron is on a five-game point streak (3G-5A- 8P) and is also the AHL's rookie scoring leader with 17 points. (8G-9A).

RECORD SETTER: Saturday night's contest between the IceCaps and Marlies was one for the books. The 8-8 score after 60 minutes tied the record for the highest-scoring regulation tie in AHL history. The 17 combined goals were the most in an AHL game since Grand Rapids' 11-6 victory over Rockford on Jan. 19, 2013.

PERFECTION IN 60: St. John's will face the Syracuse Crunch at Mile One Centre this weekend for the first time this season. The Crunch are affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning.The IceCaps remain undefeated in regulation at home.

Christian Thomas potted the game-winner in overtime as the St. John's IceCaps defeated the Toronto Marlies at Mile One Centre. Zach Fucale was spectacular in goal, stopping 36 of 38 shots in a first-star performance. Charles Hudon and Darren Dietz also scored for the IceCaps.

The IceCaps dropped a goal-fest to the Marlies in overtime at a second consecutive, sold-out Mile One Centre. Charles Hudon, Morgan Ellis and Michael McCarron notched two goals each in the loss. Seven IceCaps registered multi-point games, including Bud Holloway (1G, 2A), Christian Thomas (1G, 1A), Sven Andrighetto (2A) and Mark Barberio (2A).
