Flames Assign Derek Grant to Stockton Heat

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned forward Derek Grant to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Stockton Heat.
Grant, a native of Abbotsford, BC, was signed as a free agent by the Flames on July 1, 2015 and has played nine games for Calgary this season. Prior to joining the Flames, the 25-year-old skated in 25 NHL games with the Ottawa Senators between the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons where he recorded a pair of assists.
