TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Erie SeaWolves will meet in the opener of a three-game series...The Flying Squirrels used a complete-game effort from left-hander Eric Surkamp and a five-run sixth inning to complete a doubleheader sweep of the Harrisburg Senators, winning game one 4-1 and game two 7-5 on Sunday night in front of 7,782 fans at The Diamond.

#WINNING: The Flying Squirrels are a season-best nine-games over the .500 at 55-46 following yesterday's doubleheader sweep of the Harrisburg Senators...The high-water mark also matches the franchise mark for games over .500...Last season, Richmond's high-water mark was a season-best, nine games over at 22-13...After dropping five out of six games, the Flying Squirrels have won seven of their last eight contests.

DOUBLING UP: The Flying Squirrels improved 7-3 in true doubleheaders after yesterday's doubleheader sweep of the Harrisburg Senators...It was the second doubleheader sweep of the season for the Flying Squirrels who also swept a doubleheader from the Trenton Thunder 7/7...The club has one doubleheader still remaining on its schedule: 8/23 at Altoona.

THE JOLLY ROGER: Outfielder Roger Kieschnick blasted his team-leading 12th home run in game one of yesterday's doubleheader sweep of Harrisburg...The 24-year-old matched Thomas Neal's single-season franchise mark for home runs in a season...He leads the team with 52 RBIs and is tied with second baseman Charlie Culberson for the team lead in extra-base hits with 34.

FAIRLEY CERTAIN: Outfielder Wendell Fairley has hits in five straight games, going 6-for-14 (.429) at the plate over that span with two doubles, a RBI, and five runs scored...The 23-year-old scored a career-high three runs scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over Harrisburg.

THE DON JUAN: Outfielder Juan Perez is 11-for-23 (.478) with five doubles, a triple, nine RBIs, and five runs scored over his last eight games...The 24-year-old drove in a career-high four runs Thursday against Harrisburg...He has lifted his average from .232 to .249 over his last eight contests.

PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 3.23 ERA through 101 games and has allowed a league-low 370 runs...Richmond's pitching staff has allowed two runs or less in 39 of its 101 games (39%)...Starting pitching has allowed three runs or less in 72 of the team's 101 games (71%) and the club is 49-23 in those contests.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Flying Squirrels are in the middle of a stretch where they are playing 14 of 20 games on the road...Overall, the club is 18-28 on the road, and is batting .216 and averaging 3.46 runs per game (159R/46G) in 46 road contests...The club is 37-18 overall at home - the second-best home record in the league - and is batting .263 in 55 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.56 runs per game at home (251R/55G).
