Kalamazoo Kings News Release
In the last game of the series against the Richmond Roosters the Kalamazoo Kings were not able to come up with a victory. The Kings lost 13-6 to a Richmond team that hit remarkably well today.
The Kings started the first inning with a 3- run homerun by Tory Haven to take the lead 3-0 but the Roosters came back in the second to score 5 runs. Walt Simmons extended his hot hitting by hitting a 2 run double in the bottom of the fifth. In the sixth inning Tim Frankhouse hit a homerun into our left field party deck to give him his first homerun of the year. The loss was charged to Denny McGee giving him his sixth of the year. The winning pitcher for the Richmond Roosters was Patrick Richardson.
The Kings will be back in action Wednesday, July 9.
