
RHP R.J. Alaniz Activated; RHP Reece Karalus to A+ Charlotte

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Rays have announced that RHP R.J. Alaniz (calf) has been activated from the 7-day Disabled List.
Alaniz, 26, first went on the Disabled List with a calf injury on April 18 and missed exactly a month, before being activated and throwing a scoreless inning of relief against the Birmingham Barons on May 18.
The Rays also announced that RHP Reece Karalus has been transferred from the Biscuits to A+ Charlotte. Karalus, 23, was 0-1 with a 7.36 ERA in nine relief appearances for Montgomery in 2018.
The Biscuits active roster is currently at 25.
