
Weather Postpones Jumbo Shrimp and BayBears on Sunday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Rain and inclement weather postponed Sunday's game between the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and Mobile BayBears at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The game is scheduled to be made up as part of a doubleheader of seven-inning games at 11:05 a.m. Monday, May 21, with gates opening at 10:00 a.m. at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Regular individual tickets for Sunday's game may be exchanged at the box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining regular season home game.
Fans holding tickets for Monday, May 21, are welcome to attend both games of the doubleheader. Group picnics will remain at their scheduled times.
Sunday marked the third postponement - second at home - this season for Jacksonville and the fourth for Mobile, which has also had one game canceled. The May 21 doubleheader is the third this season - second at home - for the Jumbo Shrimp and fourth for the BayBears.
UP NEXT: The Jumbo Shrimp conclude their series with Mobile in a doubleheader of seven-inning games at 11:05 a.m. Monday. Gates open at 10 a.m. for Education Day, with area schools in attendance. Andrew Jackson High School students, as part of the "Jackson Five" program, will host a Food Drive for Feeding Northeast Florida. Everyone who donates a non-perishable food item at the third-base gate will be entered in a drawing for prizes from the Jumbo Shrimp. VyStar Credit Union members get a buy-3-get-1 free ticket special by showing their VyStar credit or debit card at the box office.
