RHP Kelvis Valerio Joins Voyagers

The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Great Falls Voyagers:

- Great Falls receives RHP Kelvis Valerio from AZL White Sox

- Great Falls receives RHP Yelmison Peralta from AZL White Sox

A free agent signing by the White Sox in 2011, Valerio comes to Great Falls after posting a 4-2 record and 3.33 ERA in 10 appearances, including seven starts, for the AZL White Sox this season.The 22-year old native of the Dominican Republic struck out 42 in 46.0 innings of work in with the AZL Sox in 2014. The righty began his career with the DSL White Sox in 2011, pitching there for two seasons before coming stateside last season to pitch for rookie-level Bristol. Valerio will make his Voyager debut Wednesday night against Billings.

Another right-hander from the Dominican Republic, Peralta was signed as an international free agent by the White Sox in May of 2012. He debuted that summer for the DSL White Sox, then like Valerio, came stateside to pitch for Bristol in 2013. For the AZL White Sox this year, the 19-year old was 4-2 with a with a 3.55 ERA in 13 appearances, covering 38.0 innings.
