RHP Dallas Beeler Activated by Iowa Cubs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 30, 2015) - Right-handed pitcher Dallas Beeler has been activated by the Iowa Cubs Thursday. Beeler was optioned to Triple-A by the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday.

Beeler, 26, is 0-1 with a 9.72 ERA (9 ER/8.1 IP) in three starts with Chicago this season. He is 2-5 with a 6.02 ERA (43ER/64.1IP) and 55 strikeouts in 14 starts for Iowa.

With this move, Iowa's active roster is at 24 players plus two players on the disabled list and two players on major league rehab assignment.

The I-Cubs and Nashville Sounds will play game three of a four-game set this evening at First Tennessee Park. First pitch set for 7:05 p.m. CT. Right-hander Carlos Pimentel (7-5, 3.17) will take the hill for Iowa opposite Sounds righty Brad Mills (4-10, 3.94). The game can be heard live on AM 940, 104.5 FM, and live-streamed at Iowacubs.com. The On-Deck Circle Pre-game Show will begin 6:40 p.m. CT.
