Reyes promoted to Gwinnett

PEARL, MS -- Mississippi Braves RHP Jorge Reyes has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi. In corresponding moves, RHP Steve Janas has been promoted to the M-Braves from High-A Carolina.

Reyes, 27, is 5-4 with two saves and a 2.38 ERA in 18 outings for the M-Braves this season. The Southern League All-Star posted his best numbers in April with a 1.29 ERA in five relief appearances and followed that with a 1.42 ERA in seven May outings. Reyes is holding right-handed hitters to a .151 average this season. A free agent signee by the Braves on June 3, 2014, Reyes was originally selected by the Padres in the 17th round of the 2009 draft out of Oregon State.

Janas, 23, was 5-0 with a 0.49 ERA in six starts for the Mudcats. He's given up just two earned runs in 37 innings of work and has not allowed a run since April 24. Janas is holding right-handers to a .121 batting average while holding lefties to a .175 mark. The Georgia native was selected by the Braves in sixth round of the 2013 draft out of Kennesaw State University.

The Mississippi roster has 24 active players and 1 suspended.
