New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Back on the road following a season-long three-game home stand, the New England Revolution travels across the country this weekend to battle Western Conference foe Chivas USA on Sunday, Sept. 13, at The Home Depot Center. The game will be televised live regionally on TV38 beginning at 3 p.m. ET, while it will also be available for a national audience in Spanish on Telfutura. Radio listeners can catch the action live on the WEEI Radio Network.
The Revs (9-7-6, 33 pts.) enter this week's action locked in a four-way tie for the final two playoff spots, and Chivas USA (10-9-3, 33 pts.) is one of the teams with which New England is battling for a postseason berth. Both teams have played a league-low 22 games heading into Sunday afternoon's showdown, so the match presents a chance for each club to earn an early advantage over other playoff contenders.
After earning a 2-0 win in the season's first meeting on July 19 at Gillette Stadium, the Revolution will be looking for its second consecutive series sweep over Chivas USA. New England also won both meetings in 2008 and has won three straight against the Goats, outscoring its opponent, 8-1, in those three matches.
