
Revs Shut out Ducks in Series Finale

(York, Penn., June 29, 2014) - The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 10-0 Sunday evening at Santander Stadium in the final game of a four-game series.
York took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning with back-to-back home runs from Justin Greene and Wilson Valdez off Ducks starter Bobby Blevins. The Revolution added a run in the third on a wild pitch with the bases loaded and another in the fourth on a solo home run from Travis Garcia.
York increased its lead to 7-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning on a RBI single from Johan Limonta and a two-out, two-run double from Garcia. The Revs added two more runs the next inning on a RBI double from Eric Patterson and a RBI goundout from Limonta.
A solo home run from Patterson in the bottom of the eighth inning increased the York lead to 10-0 and finished the scoring for the evening.
Blevins (4-3) received the loss, allowing seven runs (five earned) on eight hits, two walks and three strikeouts in four and one-third innings. Williamson (1-1) earned the win, tossing six shutout innings while allowing four hits with six strikeouts.
Dan Lyons paced the Ducks bats with two hits.
Long Island returns home on Monday, June 30 for a single admission doubleheader against the Bridgeport Bluefish. First pitch for game one is slated for 6:00 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:30. It's Quacker Night at Bethpage Ballpark! The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Ducks Quackers, courtesy of Newsday. Game two will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one, and both games are slated for seven innings. Rob Whitenack starts game one for the Ducks against Matt Iannazzo for the Bluefish.
