New England Revolution News Release


Foxborough, Mass. - The first-place New England Revolution (17-7-8, 59 pts.) will train from Tuesday though Thursday of this week on the Lower Practice Field at Gillette Stadium. All three training sessions begin at 10:00 a.m.

At 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22 at Giants Stadium (TV - CN8; Radio - WEEI 850 AM), the Revs travel to New Jersey to play the MetroStars (12-9-11, 47 pts.) in Game One of the MLS Eastern Conference Semifinals. The game can also be heard streaming live on www.revolutionsoccer.net.

The Revs' first home playoff game will be played at 8:00 p.m. on October 29 at Gillette Stadium against the MetroStars in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Semifinals (TV - WB56). For playoff tickets and for 2006 Center Circle Membership season ticket information, call 1-877-GET-REVS.

The Revolution capped their best regular season in club history with a 1-0 win over the Chicago Fire (15-13-4, 49 pts.) at Gillette Stadium this past Saturday night in their last match before the MLS Cup playoffs. Revolution forward Taylor Twellman's goal in the 35th minute, his league-best 17th goal of the year, proved to be the difference maker. On Sunday, MLS announced Twellman as the 2005 Budweiser MLS Golden Boot trophy winner as the league's top goal scorer.

Media planning to cover practice at Gillette Stadium are required to notify the Revolution Communications Department the day prior to the sessions they wish to attend to guarantee admittance. Media wishing to attend home games must contact Revolution Communications NO LATER THAN 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the game.
