New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - After suffering its first loss of the season last weekend, the New England Revolution will aim to return to the win column when the club hosts the rival Houston Dynamo at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, at Gillette Stadium. The game will be televised live regionally on TV38, while it will also be available for a national audience in Spanish on Telefutura. Radio listeners can catch the action live on the WEEI Radio Network.
Sunday afternoon's match will be the first meeting between the Revolution (2-1-2, 8 pts.) and Dynamo (1-2-2, 5 pts.) since the SuperLiga 2008 final on Aug. 5, 2008, at Gillette Stadium. After losing to Houston in both the 2006 and 2007 MLS Cup finals in heartbreaking fashion, New England finally gained a measure of revenge by claiming the title of North American champions with a 6-5 victory in a thrilling penalty shootout.
This will be the first of two regular-season meetings between the Revs and Dynamo this season, and the only one at Gillette Stadium. The regular-season series will conclude on July 25, when Houston will host New England at Robertson Stadium.
