Real Salt Lake News Release
SANDY, UTAH (Thursday, April 30, 2009) - Real Salt Lake and Burger King Restaurants in Utah have teamed up to present the first-ever "RSL Kids Night" for the team's next home game against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Fans can visit any of 55 participating Burger King locations across Utah (and parts of Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada) to pick up a "Kids Are King" voucher, which allows free admission for kids 16 and under with a paid adult. Available while supplies last, the "Kids Are King" vouchers are now in-store and can be redeemed for game tickets to see RSL face the Los Angeles Galaxy - one voucher per child - at the Rio Tinto Stadium box office.
Please visit www.RealSaltLake.com's "Fans" page (http://web.mlsnet.com/t121/fans/promotions/burger_king/) for a list of participating Burger King locations.
Two other Real Salt Lake partners have teamed up to celebrate RSL Kids Night next Wednesday, as Mountain America Credit Union invites fans to enter their tots age one or younger to participate in the RSL Diaper Derby, presented by MACU. These kids will race to the finish to win a $500 Mountain Climber Kid's Term Deposit! Qualifying heats will be held at the Mountain America booth at Carnival Real on the East Lawn of Rio Tinto Stadium from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. MT, with the top eight (8) finalists racing for the grand prize at halftime.
Carnival Real, which opens at 5:00 p.m. MT, is also the place to register pre-game for the first-ever JetBlue / RSL FlyAway promotion. Those who register at the JetBlue booth on the East Lawn of Carnival Real could be chosen to compete in the JetBlue halftime show for the chance to win a Family Four-pack of round-trip plane tickets from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles, courtesy of JetBlue. RSL visits The Home Depot Center on May 9 to face CD Chivas USA and on June 13 in the return trip against the Galaxy in the teams' lone Los Angeles visits in 2009.
Real Salt Lake's 2009 campaign continues Saturday as the team - 3-2-0, 9 pts., 3rd in MLS Western Conference - travels to the Denver area to begin the defense of its back-to-back Rocky Mountain Cup titles in the first of three 2009 contests against the archrival Colorado Rapids (2-2-2, 8 pts., 4th in West). Kickoff from Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. is set for 7:30 p.m. for a contest that will be televised live on KUTV 2.2 Digital / Comcast 111 (THIS-TV), beginning with the America First Credit Union Pre-Game Report at 7:00 p.m. Fans can also follow the action live via RSL's official radio partners: KALL 700 Sports (America First Credit Union Pre-Game Report begins at 6:30 p.m.) and Ke Buena 1600-AM.
