Revs Announce Playoff Dates; Package and Group Tickets on Sale Now

(York, Pa.): The First Half Freedom Division Champion York Revolution today unveiled Division Championship Series and Atlantic League Championship Series (if necessary) details. Tickets for the 2010 Atlantic League Playoffs are on-sale now for package ticket-holders, while the remainder of the tickets will go on-sale to the general public beginning August 2.
The Revs will open up the 2010 postseason with two guaranteed playoff dates at home to begin the journey toward hoisting the trophy. Games 1 and 2 of the Freedom Division Championship Series will both take place at Sovereign Bank Stadium, on Wednesday, September 22, and Thursday, September 23. First pitch for both games is at 6:30 p.m. The Revs have home-field advantage in the opening round by way of winning the First Half title, and as a result, should a Game 5 be necessary in the best-of-five series, it will also take place at Sovereign Bank Stadium, on Sunday, September 26, at 5 p.m.
The Revs will face the Freedom Division's Second Half Champion in the opening round of the playoffs. If the Revs go on to become Second Half Champions after already winning the First Half crown, then they will play a Wild Card entrant, which would be the team with the best overall record from either division, that is not already in the playoffs.
The Freedom Division holds home field advantage in the Atlantic League Championship Series in 2010, and if the Revs win their opening-round series and advance, they would again host three of a potential five games against the Liberty Division Championship Series winner in the best-of-five final to determine a league champion. Games 1 and 2 of the Atlantic League Championship Series would be hosted at Sovereign Bank Stadium by the Revs on Wednesday, September 29, and Thursday, September 30, both at 6:30 p.m. Game 5, if necessary, would be on Sunday, October 3 at 5 p.m.
Tickets for season ticket package-holders and groups are available now, before they go on-sale to the general public.
Revolution season ticket-holders can purchase the Playoff Package at a discounted rate of just $7.00 per ticket. This special deal guarantees seats to all confirmed and potential playoff games; the exact seats are based on availability. Information will be mailed to package ticket holders today. Remaining tickets for Games 1, 2 and 5 of the Freedom Division Championship Series will go on sale August 2. Ticket prices range from $7 to $13 similar to regular season prices.
