(York, PA) - The York Revolution (1-3) defeated the New Britain Bees (1-3) 8-7 at PEOPLEs Bank Park on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game midweek series in the White Rose City.

In his return to the Hardware City, New Britain starting pitcher Anthony Marzi tallied a no-decision, surrendering six runs on nine hits (two home runs) in five innings pitched, striking out two. York starting pitcher Troy Terzi also did not factor in the game's final outcome after allowing four runs on seven hits in just two and two-thirds innings on the mound, walking two and striking out three.

New Britain batted around versus Terzi in the top half of the first inning, plating four runs on five hits for the early advantage, highlighted by run-scoring singles from Alejandro De Aza, Bijan Rademacher, and Deibinson Romero, along with a run-scoring fielder's choice off the bat of Jason Rogers. Leading 4-3 in the top of the fourth, De Aza was at it again, cracking a two-run home run to right to extend New Britain's lead to 6-3. After York stormed back with four unanswered runs to take their first lead of the night at 7-6, the visitors got even in the top of the seventh thanks to a sacrifice fly from Alexi Amarista that plated Romero who reached base with one down by way of a single. The back and forth affair continued after the fans stretched out their arms and legs when Telvin Nash launched a solo tater over the Arch Nemesis in left off losing pitcher Sammy Gervacio (0-1), making a winner out of Josh Judy (1-0), while Julio Perez retired the side in order in the top of the ninth for his first save of the season.
