New England (10-4-3, 33 pts. in league play) is currently the top team in Major League Soccer and is tied for the SuperLiga Group B lead with Pachuca, which is the defending SuperLiga and CONCACAF Champions Cup champion. "Los Tuzos" - which translates to the Gophers - also won their group play opener, defeating MLS side Chivas USA, 2-1, at The Home Depot Center on Sunday night.

Following group play, the top two teams in each group will advance to the semifinals, so a win for either side on Wednesday night would almost assure a spot among the tournament's final four teams.
