Toronto FC News Release

Toronto FC announced Tuesday that a limited number of ticket packages have been released for the 2008 Pepsi MLS All-Star Game. Guests who purchase this exclusive package will have a unique opportunity to mingle and interact with the players from West Ham United (English Premier League) and the MLS All-Stars the evening prior to their clash at BMO Field.

At 10 a.m. ET on Friday July 18th, the 2008 Pepsi MLS All-Star ‘party packages' will be made available to the public by calling 416-360-GOAL (4652). Priced at $192, the package includes a ticket to the Official Player's Party on Wednesday, July 23rd at Muzik plus a ticket to the sold out 2008 Pepsi MLS All-Star Game Thursday, July 24th when the MLS All-Stars take on West Ham United in a 7p.m. ET kickoff.

Recently named All-Star and Toronto FC defender and captain Jim Brennan will compliment a star-studded line-up of MLS players that includes LA's David Beckham and Landon Donovan, Houston's Canadian tandem of Dwayne De Rosario and Pat Onstad, Chicago's Cuauhtémoc Blanco, and NY Red Bull striker Juan Pablo Angel. The MLS All-Stars will be led by New England Revolution head coach Steve Nicol.

The MLS All-Stars' opponents, West Ham United, will be led by a stellar line-up of internationals - Freddie Ljundberg (Sweden), Craig Bellamy (Wales), Lucas Neill (Australia), Jonathan Spector (USA), Dean Ashton and Robert Green (England), and Luis Boa Morte (Portugal) - that will try to stop MLS from extending it's winning streak to four games over European opposition. Previous opponents Fulham (lost 4-1 in 2005), Chelsea (lost 1-0 in 2006), and Celtic (lost 2-0 in 2007) have lost by a combined score of 7-1.

The Official Player's Party, sponsored by Smirnoff, will undoubtedly be the hottest ticket in Toronto this summer. The event will feature all of the players from the MLS All-Star team as well as their opponents from West Ham United and will feature international cuisine to honour the diversity of the MLS All-Stars and all of the clubs of MLS, West Ham United, and the City of Toronto.

This will be the 13th edition of the MLS All-Star Game. The 2009 event will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah at Real Salt Lake's brand new stadium located in Sandy, Utah. This year's contest is being broadcast on ESPN2, CBC, and Telefutura and is expected to be watched in nearly 100 countries by soccer fans worldwide.
